Birmingham is a foodie's dream with so many amazing restaurants! Here are just a few of our favorites! Please reach out if you need any more recommendations! We love sharing all the wonderful restaurants Birmingham has to offer!

El Barrio is one of our favorite Mexican restaurants! They don't take reservations so the wait can get long but it is worth it. While you wait, walk down the street to Collins Bar for a custom cocktail!

El Barrio - Downtown Birmingham

This is right where you'll find us most every Sunday for lunch! This is our favorite meat and three in Birmingham. Come early, cause the line can get long! This would make the perfect day after wedding lunch! Hint: you must try their famous fried green tomatoes!

Irondale Cafe

Come for the pizza, stay for the ambiance! Slim's is in the heart of Crestline and has some of our favorite pizza in town. The inside makes you feel like you aren't even in Birmingham anymore with its cozy vibes! They also serve Big Spoon for dessert which is our favorite local ice cream shop!

If we are having a date night, more than likely it is here (or El Barrio across the street)! This is our favorite sushi restaurant. They also have great non-sushi options as well! You must try the tempura green beans!

Bamboo on 2nd

Wooden City has great food, drinks and great service! They have a little bit of everything from pizza to burgers to chicken schnitzel. Everything we have had here has been so yummy and we highly recommend checking them out! Perks, it's on one of Birmingham's oldest, historic cobblestone streets!

Things to Do

Birmingham has lots to offer if you are looking for what to do during your stay! There is plenty of shopping in Homewood, Mountain Brook Village/Lane Park and at The Summit. Top Golf, The Birmingham Zoo and Birmingham Botanical Gardens are great to enjoy the spring weather. If museums are your thing The Civil Rights Institute and Birmingham Museum of Art are two musts to check out. Or if you would rather relax and hang out, there are plenty of local coffee shops and breweries to check out! Our favorite coffee spots are June and Dawn Patrol and for breweries Trim Tab and Good People are our recs! The Garage is also a great spot to grab a sandwich and beer and enjoy the spring weather!
